The diversity of Todd's experience serves his clients well. Todd began his legal career as a prosecutor in the Texas Hill Country. His time there taught him that the nature of a close-knit community invariably has some effect on the resolution of matters within it. Understanding a place is as important as understanding a case, and Todd excels at both. Todd later took a position with the Travis County District Attorney's Office in Austin in 1999 where he stayed until 2003. In his seven years as a prosecutor, Todd tried nearly 100 misdemeanor and felony cases to verdict across multiple counties. In 2003, Todd took the opportunity to move to Houston and work alongside legendary criminal defense attorney Dick DeGuerin. Todd worked with Dick for 15 years, where he successfully protected and defended their clients. Todd left Dick and opened his own law firm where he specializes in criminal defense and personal injury litigation.
